Dear B and B,
Congrats. You bested Ryan and myself for the Tag team championship.
I would really love to write a glowing reference to the technical
nuances of the match, the way you both competed fairly and in the spirit
of the sport or even the fact that you won clean.
But we all know that I can't.
See, I don't remember in wrestling training "kick in the balls" day. I
remember suplexes and cardio drills, squats, hammerlocks, heck even
chops. But I must have missed the day kicking someone in the balls
entered the lexicon of wrestling moves. And that's the only reason
you're currently wearing a tag team belt. Because you kicked me in the
balls whilst Fozzy Young couldn't see.
Thing is, you guys are great competitors. Seeker you're a guy that's so
dedicated to pro wrestling you've legitimately lost a finger tip in a
wrestling ring. Sommers you've been around forever and are universally
respected. For whatever reason though, you two dbags took the easy route.
Whats even worse is that I can't demand an immediate rematch with you
two. This isn't common knowledge, but I went into this match severely
injured. I'm not going to give specifics other than the fact that my
back is in rough shape and I'm losing feeling in my right leg. So as of
right now, I'm on the shelf indefinately. That's not an excuse. On one
leg, you still needed to kick me in the coconuts to get the job done.
I guess the point of this letter is to let you know that I'm not sitting
at home eating cake. I'm not sitting home thinking maybe I should give
it away. I'm not sitting at home thinking man, I hope my back gets
better. I'm still training. I'm still working out. I'm not throwing away
7 years of hard work just because my testes are sore and I'm no longer a
champ.
2 weeks. 1 month. 6 months. Who knows how long it'll take. But be ready.
Because as soon as I'm good to go, I'm on the plane to Sydney. And this
time, I might just wear a cup.
Enjoy your championship,
-Rick Sterling
