On August 25th PWA Australia presents Call to Arms VI. It’s around this time every year that I can’t help but reflect back to the very first PWA event. At Call to Arms I, not only was I in the very first official PWA Australia match, I won the very first PWA Australia match. Now some 5 years later I walk into Casula Powerhouse as one half of the PWA Tag Team champions.
Being a champion is something I take very seriously. Every day I put pressure on myself to be better than everybody else, in and out of the ring. I settle for nothing less than perfectness. And now I put that very same pressure on Brian Seeker. When Brian signed on the dotted line to be my partner he knew what he was getting into. I refuse to put my name to something that isn’t elite, and trust me we are, we have the belts to prove it.
On August 25th Nathan Ryles and Luke Knight will challenge for our championship. To beat us they would have to be better than they’ve ever been, better than they can be, better than perfect. These two competitors may be tag team specialists but they are not champions, we are, and I guarantee it’s going to stay that way. Say what you like about Brian and I’s tactics but the fact remains we are yet to be beaten and it will take a lot more than two “OzRockers” to end our streak. Nathan and Luke if you’re reading this, yes offence.
PWA fans get used to the sight of Bishop Sommers and Brian Seeker with gold around our waists because it’s something that you will be seeing for a very long time. We are the Tag Team Champions and there is nothing any OzRockers, Hooties, Brofishes or any other weird combination of guys can do about it.
One half of your Tag Team Champions,
P.S. I almost forgot… Rick Sterling I read your blog. When you’re ready to stop crying into your bowl of tofu and organic rice about how you lost to the champs and how injured you are, we’ll be waiting.
